Shawn, I've been a musician/vocalist for 33 years and I consider my band to be amazing. However, when I watched you last night at the Renaissance, I realized that you are a different breed. You are beyond "talented," you are fun and sincere, you never took a break, you sang and played your rear end off on every song. You are one the best guitarists and vocalists I've ever heard. Your band is tight, fun, a pleasure to watch and listen to. I love my "guys" but they, unlike you, have gotten "tired" of the casual scene. We can all learn a thing or two from you. Your smiles, fun comments, strong, beautiful voice, and passionate, tasty guitar playing really draws people in. I hope your talent, personality and good vibes take you far. You are a hard worker, who seems happy and blessed.....and you are the absolute best!!!

I was just wanted to let you know my grandsons cancer is in remission. He lost his eye to it but they seem to have saved his life. I thank the Lord for his recovery.

I know my mum was touched by the song "You were my Best freind," having just lost her dad. I saw you last night at the Eric Johnson show at the CoachHouse and you did a great job. It was obvious that you have a passion for what you do whether having a band behind you or going acoustic/solo as you did. As intimidating as somone could be opening for EJ, you were confident in your own gift and gave it 100% and it showed and came across to the audience, and that is always appreciated, especially when the ticket buyer is waiting to see their favorite act - not the opener. I will definately be looking at your calendar to see when you are playing locally.

I was born and raised in the Midwest and know of a fantastic festival where you would truly shine….Milwaukee’s Summerfest. The event runs about 10 days or so and draws national acts to its many stages. You should consider this venue for next summer. One saturday afternoon after spending the morning doing yardwork, I elected to spend the rest of my day watching television and hoisting the cold one's. That is until Shawn Jones insisted I go with him to Hollywood and see Robert Cray in concert. I was in "Lazy-idiot" mode and resisted until Shawn asked me point blank, "Do you want to watch people have fun on T.V. or do you want to have fun?". That's friendly persuasion and Shawn can sell an air conditioner to an eskimo. We got to L.A. in no time and had one of the best times ever. Robert Cray is a guitar legend and check him out in "ANIMAL HOUSE" with "Otis Day and the Knights". The man can swing! I realized Shawn needed to study the master's to be a great ax man himself. The man does his homework. The evening ended as we ducked into "The Hard Rock" for burgers and beer. As we entered the joint,the crawling strains of "Kashmir" by "The Zep" pounded the room as a vintage pink cadillac elevated in the center of the cafe slowly rotated around and around.

It was so nice to see you this afternoon in Redlands. After taking a look at your website, I can see you have done so well for yourself. And, to think it all started with a little guitar and a little boy singing "Froggy Went A Courtin"! I listened to the songs on the website and you have such an amazing voice and talent. I also enjoyed the pictures of Danny.
At any rate, it was so sweet of you to take a minute to chat this afternoon. Take good care of yourself and best wishes on all you pursue.

Hi Shawn,
We saw you perform with your band at the Galaxy Theatre on 2/1/08. We also were privileged enough to meet you face to face after the show. Unfortunately, that was while standing in line to recover our towed rental car. You were standing in line with your niece to retrieve her car. I must apologize for not making your acoustic show at Lucille's that you invited us to. We could only find one "Lucille's" in the phone book which was out in Brea. The four of us (Jacque, Sharon, Ken and I) drove out to Brea only to find out that you were not performing there. We really wanted to take in that show! So I guess I'm off to purchase a CD or two off your website. Good Luck in the future and we will be keeping an eye out for you back in Wisconsin.
